We design and build signs for developments, venues and businesses, from lit sign columns and tenant directories to carved trail markers. Layout and fabrication both happen in our shop on Airport Blvd in Austin.
What to send
- Where the signs go, with photos or a site plan.
- Rough sizes and quantities.
- Artwork and fonts as vector files.
- Whether the sign needs to be lit.
Lighting changes how a sign is built, as the Willa column below shows, so tell us early if you want it.
A lit sign column for Willa
StoryBuilt asked us for wayfinding at its Willa development. We pitched several concepts in December 2021, and StoryBuilt picked a pillar. The column wrap we built is 42 x 42 in. and 122 in. tall at its highest point. The Willa name is cut through the metal and lit from behind, with push-through acrylic letters, and one face carries a tenant directory.
Carved signs for Jester King
Jester King Brewery first ordered from us in 2021: 20 directional signs naming its trails and areas. The sign board is two colors, a brown face over a tan core, so carving through the face leaves tan letters on brown. Jester King chose the font and we did the layout. Orders in 2022 and 2023 added more signs, some of them for the Jester King Inn.
Equipment
We carve sign board on our two CNC routers. The shop also has a large-format UV printer and a vacuum forming oven for shaped acrylic.
