Official information about Austin Custom CNC
Austin Custom CNC (ACCNC) is a design and fabrication shop operated by Official Science LLC. We've been building since 2019, when the shop worked as Official Science.
Most of our work is custom casework and millwork for commercial and high-end residential projects. We work with general contractors, architects, interior designers and owners. Engineering, CNC cutting, assembly and finishing happen in our Austin shop. We coordinate installation and bring in partner shops for metal, stone and upholstery.

Services
Our commercial millwork includes casework, cabinets, shelving, paneling and built-in seating. We build restaurant and bar millwork, retail fixtures and displays, and custom furniture and reception desks.
Other work includes architectural signs and wayfinding, art installations and sculpture fabrication, and CNC cutting from customer files. Service pages describe the work and what to send for an inquiry.
CNC capabilities and limits
We run two CNC routers, both with 5 x 10 ft beds. We cut wood and sheet goods, including Baltic birch, hardwood plywood, MDF and solid hardwood; plastics such as acrylic, HDPE and polycarbonate; and aluminum composite panel.
We don't cut steel on the CNC. Steel work goes to a partner metal shop. Our smallest router bit is 1/8 in., which leaves a 1/16 in. radius at inside corners.
How to inquire
For CNC cutting, send a DXF file or a Fusion 360 or SketchUp model. Include the material, thickness, quantity of each part and deadline.
For millwork, send the architect's drawings and finish schedule. Our engineering team models the work and prepares shop drawings for approval before cutting. Use the project inquiry form or email the shop with the details.
Selected projects
See the George Washington Carver Museum wall, Jupiter Supper Club millwork and MaƱana Dos millwork for examples of completed work.
